This Tres Hombres Rum Ed. 66 is a “Rhum agricole” Père Labat made by the Distillerie Poisson, on the French island of Marie-Galante.

Origin and distillation

This 2019 vintage rhum agricole Père Labat was carefully distilled by Distillerie Poisson on the Caribbean island of Marie-Galante.

After 4 years of maturing in Bourbon barrels on the island, this brown rum was picked up by the sailing freighter Tres Hombres in 2023 to finish maturing in Porto Tawny and Pedro Ximenez barrels. Then, another 2 months later, the ship arrived in Amsterdam and this fantastic rum had time to get a characteristic “Tres Hombres” worthy finish. With the ship constantly moving, the Porto Tawny and Pedro Ximenez barrels have intensified the flavor of the rum for an unforgettable finish.

Design 

The drawings on the labels of our 2023 editions were made by a Tres Hombres crew member.

Bottling

Last but not least, this rum was bottled at Storkerij Amsterdam with the help of the Tres Hombres Team.

Each bottle of rum is sealed with a natural cork which is colored with beeswax. This makes the origin of the rum easy to recognize by the color of the bottle. To achieve this result, the wax is mixed with color pigments. These are milled from natural raw materials in a traditional windmill in Zaandam, the Netherlands.
